Bellevegas IV, featuring The Dan Shaer Big Band!

dsologoweblarge

The Dan Shaer Big Band is an 18-piece band started originally by Dan Shaer in the mid 80’s as The Music of Your Life Orchestra, representing the internationally syndicated radio show of the same name.  Under Dan’s leadership the band represented the radio show performing live concerts and dances across Ontario at various venues including the Royal York Hotel and the Harbour Castle in Toronto.  The band was also featured in the touring musical I’ve Heard That Song Before written by Dan & Wendy Shaer.

The Dan Shaer Big Band is not your traditional big band.  Their moto is, “Not your grandma’s big band.”  Since its inception, the band has featured a modern sound similar to the Brian Setzer and Phil Collins Big Bands, performing modern versions of traditional big band music and contemporary music.  The members of the band come from the Quinte region, east to Kingston, as far west as Toronto, from the  Peterborough area, and all along the lakeshore.
