Melos presents A Venetian Carnevale Fundraiser

Join Melos in a raucous evening of period music and drama that takes you to the Carnevale celebrations of Baroque Europe. Food, drink, Silent Auction of Talents and Experiences, period dance, costume, music, and more! Music At St. Thomas’ Presents International Concert Organist David Briggs

The artist-in-residence at St. John the Divine Cathedral in New York City and international concert organist David Briggs will give a recital at St. Thomas' Anglican Church on Sunday afternoon, February 18th, as part of Music at St. Thomas’. Briggs will perform organ works by J.S. Bach. He is also well-known for his improvisations, and part of his programme will be dedicated to improvisation. The concert will start at 4:30 PM. A reception will follow during which light refreshments will be served.

Music At St. Thomas‘ Presents VC²

VC² (Bryan Holt & Amahl Arulanandam) is an eclectic cello duo based in Toronto. They are going to give a concert at St. Thomas' Anglican Church on Sunday, March 18th, as part of “Music at St. Thomas’.” The programme is centered around pieces written by cellists, for cellists. It will feature works by Bernhard Romberg (a life long colleague of Beethoven's), Friedrich August Kummer, Julius Klengel, Jean-Baptiste Barrière, David Popper, and Luigi Boccherini. Come hear the many capabilities of the cello - times 2! The concert will start at 4:30 PM. A reception will follow during which light refreshments will be served.

Music At St. Thomas’ Presents “An Afternoon with J.S.”

A major choral project will be presented at St. Thomas’ Church on Sunday, April 15th, as the closing event of Music at St. Thomas’. “An Afternoon with JS,” (JS being Johann Sebastian Bach) will reunite St. Thomas' Choral Academy, a professional chamber choir from Montreal, and the Odin String Quartet from Toronto. The programme will feature Bach's Concerto in C minor for two harpsichords transcribed for organ duet, the Sanctus in D minor, the Cantata No. 4 (Christ Lag in Todesbanden), as well as two works written by the music directors to celebrate St. Thomas' Church's bicentennial. The concert will start at 4:30 PM. A reception will follow.
