May 4 Trenton Citizens Band Concert, featuring singer Heidi Hayward, and special guest concert band from Bayside Secondary School at King Street United Church, 100 King Street, Trenton. Dessert and beverage at 6:30 p.m. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Adults: $8 and all students are free. All proceeds will be divided and given to six local schools with instrumental music programs. Previously purchased tickets will be honoured.

May 5 The Ontario Youth A Cappella Chorus (OYA) will perform with A Cappella Quinte (formerly The Trentones) and the choir from Centennial Secondary School at 8 pm at Calvary Temple Auditorium in Belleville. Tickets: $20, $10 for students, from local choir members and at the door. A portion of the ticket sales will go to the local branch of Grannies For Africa.
The Regent ‘2-4-365 Raffle’ has been launched and tickets are now available at the Regent Theatre Box Office in Picton. For $25 you will have a chance to win the grand prize… tickets for two for one year to movies, Cinefest movies, HD satellite events, and select live events. May 6 Prince Edward County Music Festival presents Film Screening and Young Musicians in Concert at 7:30 pm at The Church of St. Mary Magdalene, 335 Main St., Picton. The evening includes the documentary film, Teaching the Life of Music, and performances by 3 of Quinte’s rising stars, Hilary Grant, soprano, Phillip Savic, pianist and Luke Bell, pianist. May 26 The Quinte Singers present Feelin’ Groovy Concert, featuring Feel Good Songs from the past at 2 pm at Deseronto United Church. Tickets: $10, children 12 and under free. Proceeds going to Local Charitable Organizations. There will be a brief intermission and refreshments will be served following the performance.
May 11 and June 8 Pianist Rick Penner will perform Songs that Ticket and Songs that Bite on May 11; and Rachmaninoff and other Russians on June 8 in the Parrott Gallery, Belleville Library, 10:30 to 11:30 am. Free admission.
May 12 Eastminster United Church presents A Gala Evening of Live Entertainment, Fine Dining and a Silent Auction. May 3 to 31 Student Art Show, Zeitgeist, will open at the Bohemian Penguin Banquet Hall, back door of 399 Front St., Belleville, on May 3, 7:30 to 10 pm. There will be live performances by students throughout the evening. The art will be open to the public at the Penguin, May 4 and 5 and then, the art work will be placed on display in storefront windows throughout downtown Belleville, creating an “art walk” that the public can enjoy.

June 23 Downtown Trenton will be the scene of a different sort of art exhibition as the artists of Arts Quinte West team up with local businesses. From 10 am to 4 pm, artists will show their work inside businesses along Front Street and at the Quinte West Farmers Market. Photography, painting, silk painting, fibre arts and music. Visitors will be issued with an Arts Passport to collect signatures from all of the display locations. Completed ArtsPorts will be entered in a draw to win $300 worth of art purchases from Arts Quinte West members.
July 7 and 8 The Prince Edward County Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show and Sale 2012 will be at the Wellington Community Centre, Essroc Arena, 111 Belleville St., Wellington. All residents of Belleville are invited to bring original artwork (up to two pieces per person) on May 12 from noon to 6 pm and they will do their best to find a place to hang it.
