Keith Taylor has been a hobby songwriter most of his life. In 1986, he teamed up with his bother Bruce to write a song that was a tribute to the Challenger astronauts. That song received radio play in northern New York State and Southern Ontario. Keith started a website for songwriters in 2011 and through the site met another songwriter from Nashville named Ken Matthiesen. Keith and Ken have never met in person or even talked on the phone but through email exchanges of lyrics and MP3s they have written about 10 songs. Keith retired from his day job at Quinte Conservation in 2016 and immediately began writing a musical play (Street – a play about a songwriter who ends up out on the street). In January of 2017 he took a play writing course at Loyalist College. The short play (Therapy) he wrote during that course has been accepted into the Belleville Theatre Guild’s Evening of One Act Plays.
