Lise started painting in earnest when she, her mother and her sister-in-law started the clothing company, Porcupine Needles in 1987. Since that time, she has painted countless theatre sets in the community, shown her work at Queen’s University, the Women’s Art Festival in Kingston, the QAC bi-annual show, and at the BTG Theatre Artists Show and Sale. She has recently started making hooked rugs and had two pieces on display at the Parrott Gallery in September 2015. She also teaches visual art as a high school teacher and occasionally assists her husband with his pottery business.
