We are looking for people who are outgoing and enjoy speaking to people on the telephone and/or communicating via email. We provide the training, telephones, contact information and a fun, team atmosphere in which to participate and hope that you would be willing to join us.

Event Supporters

We have a number of events planned this spring, summer and fall, including a music and art festival with local high school
students and professional artists, a juried visual art show, a musical, a plein air festival, etc.  We need everything from ticket/raffle sellers and stage managers to front-of-house and assistants for the art jurying.

Umbrella Newspaper Delivery Drivers | Currently Needed

Help spread the word about the arts in Quinte! Delivering the Quinte Arts Council’s arts newspaper, Umbrella, is a fun way to get out and meet people. 4 issues a year. We provide a list of places to take the papers in each community throughout the Quinte region. Most locations are small businesses such as galleries, book stores, gift shops, etc. and larger establishments such as grocery stores, drug stores, libraries, municipal halls and chambers of commerce. In the case of small towns (such as Bloomfield and Wellington), you can just park your car and walk from location to location. In larger towns or cities (such as Belleville and Trenton), it’s best to take a helper, one driving while the other runs in and out each location.

Currently, we need drivers for Prince Edward County, Campbellford, Colborne and Brighton. You must have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle.

If interested, please contact carol@quinteartscouncil.org.

Administration Assistant

If you are a people person, this role is for you! You’ll be interacting with artists, members, member groups and the public in an active office complete with a gallery and storefront. If you have one day or one afternoon to dedicate per week, we’ve got a job for you. Training provided for using our cash register and handling credit card transactions.

This position will also perform the important function of being the first point-of-contact at the QAC for the public and QAC members – greeting a wide variety of customers in person and on the phone, answering questions and referring requests to staff members as needed.

Additional administrative duties will be assigned as required. The ideal candidates should have:

  • a friendly and outgoing personality
  • the ability to handle money
  • be comfortable using computers and speaking on the telephone

If interested, please contact feeney@quinteartscouncil.org.
