The Belleville Public Library is very pleased to host an author talk by parenting author, Ann Douglas on Sat. Sept. 7 from 2:30-4:00. Ms. Douglas is a Canadian author of many parenting books, and the weekend parenting contributor to CBC Radio. She will be talking about her most recent book, Happy Parents, Happy Kids, and will focus on how you as a parent can stop feeling anxious, guilty, and overwhelmed about the challenges of today’s world. The Quinte Arts Council is celebrating 25 years of hosting their Luncheon for the Arts/Arts Recognition Awards to recognize those who have made a difference in our community. Without exception, these individuals are making Quinte a destination for those craving a vibrant arts and culture scene. This year, QAC celebrates Catherine Taylor, Artist Director at the Quinte Ballet School (QBS); Holly Dewar of DocFest; Dave Bush of Front Porch Shenanigans; Andrea Kerr of HPEDSB; and Mayor Mitch Panciuk.
