Danny drove a rundown Toyota Corolla, containing everything he owned except his drum set and his bike, to Belleville in 2000 from his home province in Newfoundland, to pursue a career as a Software Developer. It was also around this time that he started to pursue his interest in photography using a compact digital camera.
But it was on a trip to northern Canada including Yukon, Northwest Territories, Inuvik, and Alaska, that Danny (armed with that compact camera) discovered his passion for photography. It wasn’t until shortly after his son was born, that Danny purchased his first DSLR which opened up a whole new world of creative possibilities. That camera started him on a journey to create, learn, and explore the world around him.
Today, Danny no longer works in the software industry, but he continues to play music, is an avid mountain biker, and loves to hike, canoe, and camp. The outdoors, music, and people are what also drive his passion as a photographer and educator.
