James Cameron Smith

Born and educated in Toronto, James Cameron Smith has a B. A. from York University and is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art in Toronto and the New York City Off-Campus Studio. His studio is located near Madoc, Ontario.
James has received recognition and awards across North America for his public art and monumental sculpture work. His photographic work and diverse public art commissions express his belief in the power and significance of visual art.
His recent commissions include a sculpture feature for the Hazard Branch Public Library in Syracuse NY, an installation for the Bert Church Theatre in Airdrie, Alberta, the Miners Memorial in Drumheller, Alberta and a commission to create the first public sculpture in Vaughan, Ontario.
