The Quinte Arts Council, in partnership with the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, is excited to announce that the deadline for submissions to the 2025 Student Photography Contest has been extended to July 7th.
Celebrating the people, places, and natural beauty of the Bay of Quinte region, this fun and friendly contest encourages young photographers to explore their world and express themselves through the art of photography.
“Supporting and inspiring the next generation of artists is at the heart of what we do,” says Janet Jarrell, Executive Director of the Quinte Arts Council. “This contest gives young people a platform to share their vision and creativity with the entire community.”
“The Bay of Quinte is a place worth celebrating,” adds Anna Fraiberg, Marketing Manager with the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board. “Partnering on this initiative helps showcase the fresh perspectives of our youth and their connection to the region.”
What makes the Bay of Quinte special to you? Where do you love to go? What inspires you to pick up your camera? All subjects are fair game — we want to see what sparks your creativity! Submit your best images captured since June 1, 2024, and share your unique perspective for a chance to win a brand-new Canon EOS Rebel T7 digital camera. There are also cash prizes to be won, and the winning entries will be featured in an exhibition at the QAC Cultural Hub throughout the month of August.
While the contest runs during the summer, photographs from all seasons are welcome, as long as they were taken between June 1, 2024, and July 7, 2025.
The contest is open to students in the following age categories: 7–9, 10–12, 13–15, and 16–18. Capture your world and show us what the Bay of Quinte means to you — and see your work displayed for the entire community to enjoy!
