A Trombone & Organ Concert

Trombonist Jean-Mathieu Royer and organists Matthieu Latreille and Francine Nguyen-Savaria will present a trombone and organ concert at St. Thomas' Anglican Church. A musician since his childhood, Jean-Mathieu Royer graduated with honours from the Montreal Conservatoire of Music, obtaining his Master's degree in 2016.  Admission is by donation.

Express and Company is a folk/pop duo from Peterborough, Ontario. The band is fronted by Dylan Ireland and Melissa Payne and formed in 2013. They’ve toured Canada travelling as far afield as the Yukon and PEI, appeared at South By Southwest in Austin, Texas. Empty Bowls showcases the art, crafts, and pottery of our local artisans to help promote the alleviation of hunger within our community. With supportive partners from the Loyalist College Culinary Program and another local chef, they will be cooking up delicious gourmet soup. This event is in support of our local food banks within P.E.C, Quinte, and Hastings county. The legendary Irish Rovers return to The Empire! These Kings of Celtic have been honoured this year as one of Ireland’s greatest exports by EPIC, the Emmigration Museum in Dublin as well as back in their hometown of Ballymena. Patrick Fockler

Appearing for the very first time at Caper's is Patrick Fockler. A Stirling Ontario raised bluesman. Best known for his work with Blues/rock outfit the Focklers and work on other artists' records. Patrick brings a mix of traditional Blues classics, R&B stompers and a hint of Canadiana. Although versed in performing in venues and on stages the world over, he is excited to bring the blues to a friendly hometown crowd in this solo performance.
