Quinte Society for Chamber Music

In the words of a recent patron, the Quinte Society for Chamber Music presents “chamber music as it was meant to be heard,” that is,  in intimate settings where the audience can enjoy the music almost as if they were themselves playing it, performed by professional musicians who dedicate their lives to getting it right.

QSCM events include social opportunities where musicians and patrons can enjoy conversation about all things musical. Detailed introductions are an integral part of QSCM programming giving both new and experienced listeners a deeper appreciation of the music and the context in which it was created.

Founded in 2015, QSCM has earned a reputation for the excellence of the musicianship presented featuring highly accomplished professional musicians. Admission to music events is free to ensure access to all.

This is made possible by the work of volunteers, funding from local private and business donors, and project by project support from the Ontario Arts Council and local municipalities. All donations are tax deductible. Volunteers are welcome.

Upcoming Events are posted on the QSCM website at www.qscmusic.com along with program details,  guest artist bios and details of past events in the archives.  Access to the QSCM blog, the QSCM Newsletter and information about the organization including donors and volunteer opportunities can also be found on the web site. QSCM volunteers, in partnership with Loyalist College Radio 91.x (91.3 on the dial) present a weekly music program called Classical Pirate Radio. Listeners can tune in Monday nights from 10 p.m. to midnight. All previous broadcasts are available on SoundCloud by searching for Classical Pirate Radio. QSCM invites all community members to sign up to the Newsletter, become web site and blog members, participate in our events and help out as volunteers.
