Sarah Palmer

Sarah Palmer is an artist currently living in Belleville whose work is done using German expressionism, a style that focuses on an artist’s feelings and ideas over realism. This style gives Sarah’s paintings a dream-like quality.

People see different things every time they look at one of Sarah’s paintings. They’re beautiful and meant to challenge the viewer. The characters are funny, eccentric and often grotesque. Sarah uses only three base colours to create her works and mixes any other colours she wants to use, having to remember the formulas for each colour from day to day until the painting is completed.
