The Belleville Choral Society (BCS), founded in 1959, is a volunteer community choir, founded on the belief that many types of music should be accessible to the community. The goal of BCS is to provide an environment where choral music is learned and performed for the enjoyment of its membership and that of the local community.

In September of 2022 the Belleville Choral Society had their first rehearsal in over two and a half years. The Board of Directors and their new music director, Heather Christiansen got things into motion for the re-start of the season with fresh new music, thanks to the City of Belleville Arts and Culture Grant.  Musical highlights include, I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash, arr. by Larry Nickel, Both Sides Now – by Joni Mitchell, arr. by John Leavitt, After the War by Mark Sirett and Seal Lullaby by Eric Whitacre.
