The Quinte Arts Council Launches Student Photography Contest Celebrating the Bay of Quinte
Belleville, ON — The Quinte Arts Council (QAC), in partnership with the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, announces the launch of the Student Photography Contest — an inspiring showcase of the people, places, and natural beauty that make the Bay of Quinte region unique.
Open to students aged 7 to 18, this contest invites young photographers to share their perspective on what makes the Bay of Quinte special. From vibrant downtown scenes to serene lakeside sunsets, from winter wonderlands to springtime blossoms — we want to see the region through your lens.
Selected entries will have the chance to win a brand new digital camera, cash prizes, and the opportunity to be featured in a special exhibition at the QAC Cultural Hub in August 2026.

The theme is open to interpretation — showcase your favourite places, people, and moments in the Bay of Quinte.
Seasons:
Photos from any season are welcome, but must be taken between June 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026
Age Categories:
- Ages 7–9
- Ages 10–12
- Ages 13–15
- Ages 16–18
(Maximum two entries per student. Proof of age required.)
Contest Rules: The use of AI generated or AI enhanced imagery or any other post-production image manipulation is strictly prohibited.
File Formats:
Accepted formats include JPEG/JPG, TIFF, or PNG. Winners may be asked to provide RAW files for exhibition purposes.
Submission Deadline:
June 30, 2026
Accepted submitters will be notified in July 2026.
