YouthCreate is a youth-led initiative to cultivate a dedicated space designed for creative individuals between the ages of 14 and 24.

About

Powered by the Quinte Arts Council, YouthCreate was founded in 2025 by summer students Lauren Little and Arlo Newman. They established this youth-led initiative after noticing a lack of opportunities, participation, and dedicated spaces for ages 14-24 in the local arts scene.

YouthCreate empowers young people by providing a dedicated space to lead, create, and explore on their own terms. Designed to foster independence, creativity, and leadership, it values youth voices and encourages young people to shape their own experiences and opportunities.

Our Mission

This is a space by youth, for youth, prioritizing creative freedom. Whether your focus is film, visual art, music, writing, performance, or exploration, we help you connect, create, lead, and amplify your voice.

We connect diverse young artists to foster local creative growth and provide the resources needed to successfully carry out career goals and aspirations.

Our Initiatives

This year focuses on two re-envisioned initiatives: Spotlight Videos and the YouthCreate Hub.

Spotlight Videos invite participants to submit videos for our TikTok page, promoting young creatives and building a digital community for connection and learning among peers.

The YouthCreate Hub–at the Quinte Arts Council’s Cultural Hub–provides a safe, in-person environment for youth to collaborate, network, showcase their work, and receive artistic guidance.
