Marianne Ackerman is a Montreal-based novelist and playwright.
Marianne was born and raised on a farm in Prince Edward County and educated at Nicholson Catholic College in Belleville, Ackerman and her partner Gwyn Campbell have spent the past seven summers rebuilding an old stone house in the County.
She has an MA in drama from the University of Toronto and studied French at the Sorbonne, as well as have had several published novels. A frequently produced playwright, her comedy Triplex Nervosa premiered at the Centaur Theatre in 2015. It was published along with two sequels as Triplex Nervosa Trilogy by Guernica Editions in May of 2021. She enjoys interacting with students about writing, culture, new media and careers in any of these fields
