River and Main Theatre Company creates opportunities for the development of actors, directors, playwrights and other theatre creators in Belleville and the Quinte Region.
River and Main Theatre Company has been bringing theatre productions written by local playwrights to stages in Belleville and the Quinte Region for the past five years. In the autumn of 2021, the Company began operating in its new permanent home, a storefront theatre in Belleville’s downtown core. Located at 30 Bridge Street East, Theatre in the Wings is a 40-seat venue for small theatre and acoustic musical performances as well as workshops and classes covering all aspects of theatre creation. It is an exciting addition to the downtown core and a boon to other downtown businesses and to the residents of Belleville.
