Scott Maracle

An early career photographer capturing and creating images of both nature and the creations of humankind within our local region and abroad.
When a stroke in 2017 left me disabled, I began using my camera daily to assist with my damaged memory. Soon, I began receiving encouragement to pursue photography as a profession from people who viewed my photos. While I am still learning the art of photography, I have received support from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council for the Arts in acquiring training and pursuing my objectives.
While I have compiled a large library of images over the past 3 or 4 years of training, my work currently revolves around 4 main themes: Nature, Indigenous Images, the Hand of Man, and Religion and Faith. I feel these topics are connected in relation to my Indigenous culture and our story on Turtle Island.
