Shaer Productions

Shaer Production is committed to providing top quality musical productions and entertainment.

Shaer Productions was created by Dan & Wendy Shaer in 2004 when they bought an 8,000 SQ FT church in Millbrook Ontario and converted it into The King Street Centre for the Arts. Their goal was to provide a venue for rehearsals and performances and to create performing opportunities for amateur, semi-professional and professional musicians and performers.

To achieve this goal, the King Street Arts Council was formed along with a community theatre group called The King Street Players. The theatre company along with a band, morphed into different sizes and configurations based on the needs of production. They produced musicals and toured around central Ontario in Peterborough, Lindsay, Port Hope, Cobourg and Belleville.

In 2012 the church was sold when Dan and Wendy moved back to Trenton. Since then, they have continued with Shaer Productions and focused on the bands including Variety and produced The Summer of 67, a sequel to I’ve Heard That Song Before and their flagship production, staged five times, Bellevegas the concert featuring one of their three bands and usually up to ten guest vocalists. The concerts have raised thousands of dollars for The Quinte Arts Council and other local charities.
