Artists in Schools Bursaries

Bringing professional artists into classrooms to share their skills and inspire students

Artist in the Classroom Bursary

The purpose of this bursary is to bring professional artists into classrooms to share their skills and inspire students. Funding is provided to cover artist fees, ensuring that students have access to high-quality, artist-led instruction in the visual, performing arts and classical music.

Educators from schools within the Hastings and Prince Edward District region can apply to the Quinte Arts Council (QAC) for funding to support activities that align with the Ontario curriculum. These bursaries give students the opportunity to learn directly from professional artists and groups, fostering their creativity, talents, and knowledge in an interactive and inspiring environment.

Priority is given to schools that are underserved, helping to ensure equitable access to arts education resources across the community.
