Quinte Ballet School of Canada is committed to teach, promote and present the joy of dance at both the professional and recreational levels. Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Catherine Taylor, the school provides classes in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, hip hop, contemporary and conditioning. Teachers create an inspiring and supportive environment that nurtures talented young people towards a career in the dance industry and provide a variety of classes on evenings and weekends for people of all ages who love to learn and to dance. Our facility at 196 Palmer Road in Belleville features six dance studios and a visual arts studio that is used by many community groups.
Every year, over 120 people aged 3 to 60+ years enroll over 30 different classes offered on evenings and weekends in our Recreational Program. Each summer over 100 youth aged 10 to 17 receive over 60 hours of training at our Summer Dance Intensive offered for 3 weeks in July. Out of town students are housed in Albert College residences. The Dancing with Parkinson’s program is a free one-hour creative movement and dance class for Quinte residents diagnosed with Parkinson’s and adults with mobility issues.
